INTRODUCTION TO FEMINISM PT.1 OVER!

See how easy that was, kiddos?

Feminism isn't something scary, or disgusting, or whatever it is that people have in their tiny little brains. Easily enough, there is something of an equation (oh noes math) so that this sh*t is cleared up.

misandry (mee-sand-ry) = women are better than men

misogyny (mee-soh-gee-ny) = men are better than women

feminism = women AND MEN are equal

Got that? 

(It should be a dead enough giveaway that the word for men and women not being equal is something to do with us females. Namely, the PATRIARCHY (aka a government/society controlled by men, be it mass media or actual parliament) should be CRUSHED. This doesn't mean I think we should have a MATRIARCHY (aka a government/society controlled by, you guessed it, women) (okay this is a lie i am a lying liar that lies a matriarchy would be so much awesome it made me use the word awesome), but instead, an equal parliament where both men and women can be heard.

Paragraph'd because I have a feeling some people skipped those last few paragraphs. 

Anyway, now that you know (and hopefully are) what a feminist is-

why feminism? What is your evidence and proofs of misogyny, Aisyah? Why do you and Edgar have jousting tournaments over these trivial things?

Fact: Misogyny is so not a trivial thing.

A very easy way to see what misogyny is is 

It's ridiculously easy to see now, what misogyny and the world (thanks, Google!) thinks about women. I'm not saying every person hates the vajayjay, I'm just saying, this is reality, folks. This is what women face. Sure, it may not be that bad in Singapore, but what if I want to live/travel overseas? What if my sister or mother wants to live/travel overseas?

Just so you know what's the difference...

I know that's a lot to take in. So, take your time, process what you've just learnt, and I don't know, think or don't think about it. It's up to you, you know? I'm ending here because a) you need to process and b) really, one post is not enough. Honestly hope you guys have learnt something here, and are now all feminists, hooray!
